At the German Aerospace Center (DLR), the Institute for Software Technology hires research scientists on all levels: from scientist, to PhD student, to post-doc fellow, to group leader. Multiple open positions are available in High-Performance Visualization to Mixed Reality research.
Research Topics:
- In-situ Co-Processing for Scientific Visualization
- Uncertainty evaluation and Ensemble visualization
- Interactive Visualization / Virtual Reality (VR) for Climate Research, Earth Observation, Ocean Data, etc.
- Visual Analytics (VA) and Multivariate Data Queries for Emission Maps and Pandemic Simulations
- Augmented Reality (AR) in Digital Twin applications and Smart City scenarios
- Computer Vision and Tracking in Distributed Collaborative Environments especially for Aerospace related Assembling, Maintenance, and Servicing applications.
Minimal requirements:
- Appropriate academic degree in computer science or similar field of study
- Good programming skills preferably with C++
- Good knowledge of computer graphics programming with e.g. OpenGL / GLSL
